During the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reveal event, Treyarch confirmed that Black Ops 6 would feature brand-new customization options to let players tweak the head-up display (HUD) “in more dramatic ways” to better suit their personal preferences.

These customizations are included in Black Ops 6’s new HUD presets that give players a variety of options. Or at least it won’t function the way numbered entries in the have in the past, with players starting over from scratch while EA stops development on the previous game. This time around, however, EA will continue to support and release content for The Sims 4 after Project Rene is released, and the two games may even share content and progression somehow.

Last year, Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 took gamers by storm on its way to winning several game of the year awards. Fans loved it so much that they were openly hoping that the next installment in the Dragon Age series, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, would incorporate some aspects of Baldur’s Gate 3’s gameplay. That’s why one of Dragon Age’s co-creators, David Gaider, explained why that’s not feasible.

Via GamesRadar, Gaider responded to a question on X before noting that AAA development cycles take around five years or more. For that reason alone, The Veilguard was too far along for any sweeping changes to make it more like Baldur’s Gate 3.
